  • General Information
  • SUPAF will not be responsible for lost or stolen items. When at the venues, please keep all valuables with you. If you are on stage or warming up, have a designated person watch over your belongings.
  • Follow all rules when at SUPAF venues. Do not enter performance halls while a performance is in session. It is rude and can alter a performance. Please be courteous to the volunteers who guard doors and tables and follow their instructions. This is especially important in large group events. Teachers, please instruct your students on these points.

  • Adjudication and Awards
  • Adjudicator will evaluate the performer based on the criteria listed on the adjudication form.
  • All performances will receive a Certificate of Participation and an adjudication form with comments geared to encourage students to become better performers by learning their strengths and weaknesses. Roman numeral ratings are as follows: I- Superior, II- Excellent, III- Good, IV- Fair, V- Poor. SUPAF will not be responsible for holding forms not picked up by the performer.
  • A small number of students who show outstanding ability and work ethic may be chosen by the adjudicators to receive scholarships and will be acknowledged at the Festival of the Stars.
  • Outstanding soloists will be awarded medals; outstanding large groups will receive plaques.
  • Outstanding performers may be selected by adjudicators to perform at the Festival of the Stars. Those chosen may not necessarily be the “winners” of the category, but rather to showcase a variety of wonderful talent in the area.
  • SUPAF is not intended to be a talent competition. It is primarily an educational experience to enhance the talents of all participants.

  • Please relay any questions or concerns to the Director of SUPAF or Section Captains
